I know, I have no excuse to save myself from torches and pitchforks wielded by you, my dear viewers, but work, Japanese classes, several unfinished or new videogames in my collection (well, just 4 of them but still, that’s a lot O_o), and the fact that I’m moving sometime soon (as soon as my mom decides where to ¬_¬; ), have prevented me from drawing ANYTHING AT ALL >_< *waits for stones*

To be honest, I’ve been thinking of buying a computer for my personal use, since my sister hogs the laptop and there are days when I can’t even check my email because of that >_> The interesting part of this is… well, I’m thinking of switching to a Mac. I know lots of people think it’s the best when it comes to media and design. I also know if I ask for advice in a Mac forum, I’ll probably be convinced to something I'm not looking for by a bunch of long time Mac OS fans, based on their love to Apple. And I’m not saying that being a fanboy is bad (I’m a Nintendo fangirl, so I can’t criticize that), but I'd like an opinion from photoshop users.

So here's the deal: I'm thinking of a low end iMac, because I don't need mobility at all and I don't have much money to spend ^^. I want to use it for the basic stuff: Surf the internet, burn DVDs, I don't play much on the computer (and when I do, I play PS1 games, and they're not that heavy as current PC games), might do occasional music editing, flash animations... and the most important thing: I want to be able to use photoshop and manga studio. I usually work with 300MB PSD files, and I want to know if Photoshop is more speedy on a Mac than a PC. Because if I can get a cheaper PC that can handle photoshop as well as a Mac, I might as well get a PC instead (yeah, I know Macs practically don't get any virus or freeze up, but well, I can deal with PCs) Now, I know the new iMacs just came out, and the new ones have an integrated graphics card instead of a dedicated one, though it has higher capacity. Does that change much when using it for photoshop?

So, if you could help with any feedback, any at all, I will highly appreciate it. Maybe I should check out the forums too, to see if anybody has asked for this same thing. Anyways, thanks, guys ^_^ Next mission, finish that Vaati drawing!
