This is going to be a long comment! But please bear with me and read it if you have the time

It's another day at the Maeryu racetrack! Today, we have a rather one-sided race, I'm afraid. It's a one-to-one race between Quick Silver, the legendary horse which is said never to fail to win a race, and ah... uh... what is that, a foal? What is a foal racing against such a powerful horse? XDDD I mean... look at THAT! Sure the odds if that tiny creature wins are enormous, but this has to be a joke! And plus, what's with that name, BlueBell? XDDD

Well, it's another couple of minutes before the race starts. Which is the horse you'll choose? Which of them is going to win in the end?

*LOL end of crappy description made as a sports commentator* I wanted to enter this contest, so I asked myself one day while returning from work... What is good and what is evil? I remembered my Ethics class back in what would be 11th grade for USA residents, and I inadvertently answered "Good is the concept on which the Ethics bets". All the ideas in this drawing started flowing from that answer. Of course, the first thing I thought was if there was going to be betting, what would be better than horse races? Horses are difficult to draw, but they are magnificent animals.

Anyway (and I think this is the important part of my comment), this is how I conceive the battle of good versus evil. You know doing bad stuff might be "good" but only for selfish reasons and temporarily, i.e. when you cheat, make fraud, steal, etc. but there's always a price to pay for doing that, call it guilt, karma, or whatever you want. And when you do the right stuff, it might seem difficult, even impossible, but there's no price for doing things the right way. In fact, it comes back to you as another good thing! So the real battle is taking place inside ourselves. Whether you decide to do good or evil things, it all depends on which you prefer to "bet".

This drawing is full of subtle details, both graphic and conceptual, so please put special attention. And with that, I leave this to you.
